About Insight Nutrition - Consultant Dietitians:
Although the name Insight Nutrition was only established in April 1999, the dietetic consultancy itself is long established in Geelong, having been in operation since 1982.
Insight Nutrition's philosophy is based on the practical application of the principles of sound nutrition to everyday lifestyle and dietary habits. We enjoy the satisfaction of assisting clients to improve their health outlook through attention to food selection.
The consultant dietitians and staff bring news and current topics to the attention of clients and the public through various publications, displays and tastings. Insight Nutrition also has a range of resources and links to other relevant information.
Insight Nutrition is able to offer a wide range of services to suit the needs of the whole family. We can provide individual nutrition advice and information to aid weight loss, management of heart disease, diabetes and many other health conditions. We offer healthy recipe demonstrations and sales of recipe books, and regularly conduct a "Nutrition in the Supermarket" tour, to provide information about healthy food choices to put in your weekly shopping basket. Our calendar of events available on our website lists the dates and times that services are offered.
We can offer guest speakers for community groups, work groups or any one interested in healthy eating.
Insight Nutrition consultants are Accredited Practising Dietitians registered with the Dietitians Association of Australia. DAA ensures that dietetic consultants have the appropriate scientific training in physiology, nutrition and food.
Discounts on fees are available for holders of a pension or health care card, and ancillary rebates may be available from your health insurance fund. Check our website for further details of fees and charges.
